The S2 PUMA Series 2 is the most complete and powerful energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDRF) spectrometer available.

The improved hardware and software of the S2 PUMA Series 2 allows you to analyze samples three times faster, with increased precision and accuracy. The S2 PUMA Series 2 gives you everything you need to measure and control the elemental composition of your samples, regardless of your industry or environment. HighSense™ is the key to the unmatched analytical performance of the S2 PUMA. The direct-excitation X-ray optical system makes full use of the powerful 50 W x-ray tube. Optimal excitation of all elements in the sample is guaranteed with voltages up to 50 kV (30 kV optional) and currents up to 2 mA. Silicon drift detectors with ultra-high count rates and excellent energy resolution further increase the efficiency of the instrument. And this spectrometer features a unique multi-level system to protect vital components from contamination and allows up to 18 samples to be placed in the turret. Samples can be powders, solids, pressed tablets, fused substances or liquids of up to 40mm diameter (18 position turret) or even 51.5mm diameter (12 position turret). And for the analysis of larger samples simply remove the turret and the sample changer provides space for elemental analysis of larger samples (up to 450 x 420 mm).
