The S2 POLAR is an energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (EDXRF) suitable for the petrochemical industry as well as for the analysis of additives in lubricating oils.

The S2 POLAR meets all S-analysis requirements, from diesel to crude oil. This also includes continuous monitoring of elevated sulfur content in refineries, and in end products. With the ability to measure several elements simultaneously, including Cl to prevent corrosion and P against residue build-up, the S2 POLAR is well suited for analytical tasks in refineries. But that's not all, the S2 POLAR is ideal for quality control in base oil production, lubricant and polymer blending operations and for oil analysis in the automotive industry. The S2 POLAR compact benchtop spectrometer with its intuitive, easy-to-use Touch Control™ interface allows users to analyze routine samples after minimal training. Long instrument life is critical for process monitoring. This is ensured by Bruker's SampleCare™ technology. SampleCare™ cuvettes prevent spillage of liquid samples and protect critical components. This ensures maximum instrument uptime whenever and wherever needed.
